Friday, December 23rd, 2011It is a massive urban myth that creative agencies arn’t that busy in the period just before Christmas. I found proof of this freelancing at Nds creative in South Melbourne for a couple of days, Working a website landing page interface and flash banner designs for a property development client who was very specific on how they like their digital graphics to be layed out. Form fields need to be on a flat colored background. Logos need to be in a certain order etc. Great it was to focus entirely on the design for a change. Photoshop and illustrator all the way! Yee-Ha. Monday, December 12th, 2011Working at Surface for a couple of weeks was ace. Great location, great people and great clients. Like the annual report website for the Parental Research Center. The design was 95% done so coding up photoshop files was my role on the job.
Pink Ribbon Day Facebook App at Igloo
Monday, September 12th, 2011Such a cool project the Pink Ribbon Day facebook app creation. It was tremendous success, with thousands of people participating in the “i heart pink” and “show some heart” campaigns. I got a chance to work closely with some other developers, the creative team and project managers at Igloo too. Production wise I mainly stuck to the frontend dev side dealing with the graphics, html, css, javscript and jquery.

Paying extra attention to consistency with previous banners in the serious. And my Banners required a cracking effect which had to be done just right.

Sunday, May 29th, 2011Port Melbourne based advertising agency GANDC needed 40 flash banners animated and launched in three days, they asked if i could help. At first this seemed like quite the daunting task. Is it possible? I thought. As it so happens it was indeed possible. With some high powered concentration, 1 large Mexicana with pineapple Delivery, and a little sleep sacrificing I think a lot can be accomplished.
