History

With a tertiary qualification in graphic design and Multimedia. Employment was found in various Melbourne Web design agencies. Underpaid and overworked Daniel Florido took to freelancing under the company name Pixelstorm.

Initially a designer/artist/illustrator/animator. Dan Florido soon turned to coding php Content Management Systems (CMS) as a means of keeping website content fresh and flexible. ” I have found from developing personal and client websites, The need for content to change and upgrade is crucial. It’s Crucial from an SEO and business development point of view.”

PixelStorms mission is to create websites that sell. I’m not in the business of creating websites that reflect my design style. I’m in the business of creating a network of websites that get loads of relevant traffic, generate mounds of enquiries and convince people to “buy now”.

I’ve always considered myself to be an artist. But rather then dealing with paints and canvases I have pixels, code and software. Instead of an art gallery I have the internet.

Yeah that’s great but why website design and development?

Well… An artist is an artist because that’s just what they do.
